XXV MEDITERRANEAN ROAD SAFETY CONFERENCE
CARE FOR VICTIMS OF ROAD CRASHES AND ROAD VIOLENCE IN JUSTICE INSTITUTIONS
Within the framework of the XXV Mediterranean Road Safety Conference, we are pleased to present the good practices guide, which we launched in collaboration with the Ethos Chair of the Ramon Llull University, with the aim of offering a series of recommendations to ensure and reinforce , at all times, dignified and respectful treatment of victims during the legal processes they must face.
From sensitivity to the pain suffered by victims of road violence, this guide with the title ATTENTION TO VICTIMS OF ROAD CRASHES AND ROAD VIOLENCE IN JUSTICE INSTITUTIONS aims to avoid practices that can generate re-victimization, complicating processes. of grief and recovery and invites us to reflect on the need to combine technical rigor with communicative skills in dealing with people affected by road crashes.
This Good Practices Guide has been carried out through several work sessions, in focus group format, the experiences and suggestions of different actors, experts and professionals involved in the administrative, civil and criminal processes that occur have been collected and debated. in cases of road crashes.
