Session in the Congress of Deputies
Yolanda Doménech, director of P(A)T, returned to the Congress of Deputies for the presentation of the Report on the 2021-2030 Road Safety Strategy. In this session, the Road Safety Commission of the Congress of Deputies presented the report that includes more than 200 measures proposed by the 32 experts who have appeared within the work program that the Commission has developed during the last year.
On November 12, 2021, we participated in the appearance before the Road Safety Commission of the Congress of Deputies. There, we ask for actions to fight against repeat offenders, limiting the number of times points recovery courses can be taken and the introduction of the option of “interrupted” in case of suspicion of a possible disorder or addiction, together with the confiscation of the vehicle when the driver could endanger others or himself.
This January 20, Yolanda Doménech, director of P(A)T, returned to the Congress of Deputies for the presentation of the Report on the 2021-2030 Road Safety Strategy. In this session, the Road Safety Commission of the Congress of Deputies presented the report that includes more than 200 measures proposed by the 32 experts who have appeared within the work program that the Commission has developed during the last year.
Emiliano Moreno, professor at the University of Alcalá and in charge of presenting the document, explained that this report contains 244 proposals, structured into twelve areas of action.
The director of P(A)T, Yolanda Domenech stressed that Road Safety is a cross-cutting issue and that interministerial coordination is necessary both in prevention and in post-accident care, since it requires multidisciplinary teams to provide an adequate response to victims. .
At P(A)T we value the commitment of the Commission and we hope that all the proposals will become effective and, together with the debate generated, will be reflected in the reduction of the accident rate.
