ROAD SAFETY DAY IN THE INSTRUCTION OF DILIGENCES

The day organized at the Mossos d’Esquadra headquarters in Egara (Sabadell), in which around 450 traffic agents from the Mossos d’Esquadra were present, aimed to offer the vision of the Prosecutor’s Office and Traffic Victims in traffic crimes. The day began with the participation of the Deputy Prosecutor for Road Safety of Catalonia, Mrs. Isabel López Riera, who gave an interesting presentation on precautionary measures in crimes against road safety and delved into topics such as detention, the cases of provisional detention and other precautionary measures, as well as investigative procedures in limiting road safety, how the right to privacy and secrecy in communications or the right to physical integrity can limit the investigation of a traffic accident.

Vicente Sanchez, president of P(A)T, gave the vision of the victims, explaining the importance of an impeccable police investigation that allows the family members to know the truth and determine the responsibilities of those involved. His testimony had a great impact that will surely encourage the agents to continue their great work.
