INAUGURATION OF THE MONUMENT TO ROAD VICTIMS IN ZARAGOZA
It is necessary to remember, and although there is still a long way to go, every advance must be celebrated.
On the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the creation of the Center Zaragoza Traffic Accident Investigation Department, and the more than 2,500 in-depth investigations carried out by said department over the years, P(A)T-AP(A)T was invited to the Act in tribute to the victims of traffic accidents.
In it, a monument to the victims was inaugurated, where several Zaragoza authorities participated, Rosa Serrano, delegate of the central government, delegates of the Civil Guard and Enrique Rodríguez, president AP(A)T.
Enrique, both for his years of struggle and for being a victim, considers it a step forward for the recognition of these tragedies that day after day take at least 6 people in our country, losses that cause immense pain to those around him. He says that it was a precious and emotional act, to be very grateful, in which he felt protected as a victim. Despite describing it as wonderful and being very grateful, he is also critical of the fact that the monument was dedicated by a disaster investigation company and not by the city council. He emphasizes that this institutional support is essential to give more recognition to people who die on the roads, and he is convinced that our continuous struggle brings us closer to our Goal 0 every day, so that these monuments are no longer so necessary.
